Doctors are very agitated about the PCPNDT Act and the fact that doctors are being jailed, simply because forms have not been filled. However, there is very little concrete action which we have been able to take, except for token strikes or discussions with the government which never lead to anything concrete, and this is sad. Even though we as individuals have a lot of clout, our ability to translate this into improving our professional standing seems to be very limited. I think it's partly because often doctors are so busy fighting with each other and pulling each other down, that we can't be united.
