Sometimes I gave a followup appointment to a given patient, but he/she doesn't come back. I found that he has gone to another doctor. I sent my patient to a given hospital to do some investigations, but he disappeared. I followed the case and I found or heard that he/she has been treated in this hospital. I ask why does this happens? Unfortunately, in many of these cases; I found the cause, the other party simply steals my patient either directly or through a third party.
I think this is non-ethical. Do you think we need to do something to stop this kind of behaviour? Are there any regulations to guard my patients? Basically, what to do if faced similar cases?
