As per the current scenario in India, a medical student, after completing 4.5 years of study and the hospital internship, has to undergo a mandatory year-long rural posting before getting the MBBS degree. The government stated that they are spending a huge amount of money on each medical student. In the same way, the government also spends too much money on engineering, law graduates and other students.
