Tuberculosis (TB) has infected approximately two to three million Indians so far, and is the biggest health problem in India. In addition, the increasing occurrence of drug-resistant TB strains have further complicated the management and treatment of TB. Hence, there is need for advancement in TB research for exploration of new opportunities for treatment of TB. P.D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre has generously supported research on TB over the last 20 years.
