World Prematurity Day is observed on 17 th November every year to raise awareness about the challenges of preterm birth and the devastating impact it can have on families. Globally, about 1 in 10 pregnancies end in preterm birth. It can happen due to infections, preterm labor, or even spontaneously . Access to essential medical care during preterm labor can ensure timely treatment leading to labor delay or even improved health outcomes for a preterm baby. Disseminating information on the warning signs of preterm labor can be a fundamental step toward addressing the issue of preterm birth.
