Lupus is truly undone by its prevalence in other countries but in India, it is still considered to be rare. According to a study, the point prevalence of lupus is 3.2 per 1,00,000 cases and estimated prevalence is 14 to 60 per 1,00,000 cases in India. The above numbers are not that big when compared to a global number of 5 million.
