Title 2: Now Doctors Can Prescribe Medicines Through WhatsApp In relation with e-health programme started in 2017, health department in Kannur has decided to allow medical shops to provide medicines according to WhatsApp prescription sent by doctors. As an initial step, doctors and medical shops should form a WhatsApp group and provide description transcript written on doctor’s letter pad along with their registration number. For transparency, doctor can send the image of the prescription either to the medical shop which patient prefers or the consulting patient on the WhatsApp group.
Print out of that prescription can also be utilized to buy medicines. While, prescription should also be sent through e-mail.
