The National President of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Dr. Ravi Wankhedkar stated that the highly controversial National Medical Council (NMC) bill introduced in the ongoing winter session of the Parliament will lapse if not tabled for discussion. He said that it has been three weeks since the introduction of the bill in the current winter session and t has not been tabled so far. He suggested that the chances of the bill being tabled are low and following that the bill would automatically lapse. Dr.

Wankhedkar pointed that the bill has not been tabled for discussion in the last five Parliamentary sessions.
