Case history Female, 64-year old A 64-year-old female was first admitted in April 1961 at the age of 7 years with symptoms of palpitation. Medical notes stated that symptoms occured while dancing or during physical exertion. No loss of consciousness was reported. At that time ECG was reported which showed the following results: Figure 1 : ECG showed ventricular tachycardia (VT) Figure 2 : ECG during sinus rhythm showed right ventricular hypertrophy with strain. The patient was diagnosed with episodes of VT induced due to sympathetic over-excitement.

For management, oral quinidine and propranolol was started. Chest X-ray in July 1969 reported that findings could be consistent with myopathy as the development of prominence in the left heart border was observed.
