A 2-month-old boy was admitted to the pediatric ward with symptoms of acute respiratory distress. Physical examination revealed the following: Pallor Peripheral cyanosis Tachypnea Intercostal retractions Nasal flaring with grunting Cardiac auscultation revealed a third heart sound Radiological evidence (X-ray) showed severe cardiomegaly and bilateral pleural effusion.
