Case presentation A 3-day-old female infant presented with bilious vomiting and abdominal distension for the past few hours. A laparotomy showed a dilated proximal ileum, coiling of the collapsed small bowel loops around a single vascular supply (Cover images 1 and 2) with a mesenteric defect.
