A three-year-old male child presented to a pediatric emergency department due to a sudden onset of abdominal pain, diarrhea, and drowsiness. His condition rapidly worsened, and he lost consciousness, going into cardio-respiratory arrest. Attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful, and the child was declared dead. The patient’s birth weight was between the 25 th -50 th percentile.
Post-mortem exam Non-contrast CT imaging of the abdomen revealed a hypointense mass in the right hepatic lobe and free peritoneal fluid.
