Case A 25-year-old was presented with painful knees and erythematous plaques on them. The plaques had clearly defined borders and thick scale (as indicated in the figure) A close physical examination revealed a find scale throughout his scalp and external auditory canals. His fingernails revealed three nail plates with pitting and onycholysis. Patient History Patient is a smoker and consumes alcohol in significantly high amounts Three years ago, the knees had rash which worsened and became plaques He had dandruff and noticed change in the appearance of his nails His GP had treated for a fungal nail infection Recently his sister also observed similar patches on her elbow.
