Mortality associated with lung cancer accounts to 17% of all cancer deaths. Although histopathology remains the gold standard in the diagnosis of the lung cancer, it is a complex and a  time-consuming technique. This article provides an overview of the study which compared the accuracies of other complementary methods and further compared their results with histological findings.
