A retrospective observational study evaluated the association between iodinated contrast media (ICM) exposure and kidney outcomes in patients recovering from acute kidney injury requiring dialysis (AKI-D). The study analyzed data from 23,263 patients in Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Research Database, with a mean age of 69.6 years. Among patients who had recovered sufficiently from AKI-D to discontinue dialysis, 1,551 underwent contrast-enhanced computed tomography within the first 30 days after dialysis cessation.
