A common drug used to cure alcoholism may turn the tables on HIV. The new study examined the drug name Disulfiram for its possible use in HIV treatment. The results are very encouraging and are published in renowned International Journal yesterday. Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is the primary treatment in HIV management. ART involves a combination of at least three antiretroviral drugs that slow disease progression.

While the treatment has led to reductions in HIV death rates worldwide, it is not a cure.
