Case Presentation A 26-year-old African-American woman, gravida 1, at 18 weeks of gestation, presented with respiratory symptoms. She was a lifelong non-smoker with no significant past medical history and no known occupational or environmental exposures. Chief Complaint Hemoptysis and progressive dyspnea on exertion. History of Present Illness The patient presented at 18 weeks’ gestation with episodes of hemoptysis associated with worsening shortness of breath on exertion. There were no constitutional symptoms such as fever, weight loss, or night sweats reported.

Physical Examination Physical examination was notable for decreased breath sounds over the right hemithorax. No signs of respiratory distress at rest were documented.
