The all of us hearing and reading about Antimicrobial Resistance getting developed in more and more cases. A WHO report has clearly spelled out that the world is running out of antibiotics. All must have been facing challenges in treatment due to rampant resistance at various levels. What pains most is that patients ( especially for those they have poor/middle class background) are advised second and third genetic antibiotics without going through the rigor of first generation.
Many of us would have been fighting the resistance by ensuring rational prescriptions, asking for blood culture following the best practices for blood culture in lab ( by lab professionals) and also by adhering to best Infection control practices all the time.
