A 22-year-old female presented to a clinic with complaints of heavy bleeding during periods for the past 2 years. The patient’s symptoms had increased over the last 2 months. She was also experiencing lower abdominal heaviness. Despite both hormonal and nonhormonal treatments, her conditions failed to improve. Medical History The patient conceived spontaneously 4 years ago. At about 2.5 months of amenorrhea, a USG was conducted that was indicative of missed abortion.
The patient underwent suction and evacuation (S&E) for missed abortion; however, she continued to bleed even after the procedure. The S&E procedure was repeated. An ultrasound initiated for the patient did not suggest increased vascularity. During the patient’s second conception, she underwent abortion of a well-formed baby boy fetus at 5 months.
