Case presentation A 45-year-old man presented to the clinic with  pain in his left forearm, which he first experienced a day before visiting the clinic. The patient had previously been diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism two months before the visit. His intact parathyroid hormone level was 3590 pg per milliliter , while his serum calcium level was 13.0 mg per deciliter . The patient had also been subjected to parathyroidectomy .
