A 53-year-old man presented to the outpatient department with complaints of progressively deteriorating backache and stiffness for the last six months . He had restricted mobility in forward and side-to-side direction . Furthermore, it was difficult for him to sit cross-legged, stooping as well as getting up from the bed without any support. Previously, he experienced similar pain and stiffness in his neck for three months.
His past history did not involve any fall, unusual weight lifting, and any significant trauma. The patient had a 5-year history of type-2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension .
