For the establishment of international practice guidelines, assessments of the most appropriate treatment regimens for different diseases are carried out in the relevant population. This must take into account both desired medical outcomes (i.e. the best possible result for the patient) and also economic arguments regarding differing treatments.
These recommendations are based on the studies carried out on specific cohort, in local conditions, under local environmental variables, local rules-regulations, and medical infrastructure. Indian cohort, the prevalence of disorders/diseases, pathogenicity, allelic distribution, environmental variables, etc are vastly different from those in the west!
