Currently, COVID-19's growing number of cases and significant global extension has generated widespread alarm across the world. The fatal outcome of COVID-19 in diabetes patients is up to 50% higher. People with both types of diabetes are at elevated risk of infection owing to defects in innate immunity.
Patients with kidney disease, are likely to be more at risk of serious morbidity and mortality during the pandemic. The effect of such a pandemic in patients needs to be tackled immediately.
