The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) has issued an update to its 2023 and 2024 guidelines on the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD) in adults. These updates include four new recommendations, developed in response to recent FDA approvals of novel small molecule and biologic therapies. The recommendations are based on a systematic review of current evidence conducted by an expert workgroup. New Recommendations for Adult AD Management : Each of these therapies carries a strong recommendation from the AAD, supported by high-certainty evidence.
