According to a recent study, fat molecules found in the plaques that clog up human arteries and raise the risk of heart attack and stroke may come from bacteria ( Bacteroidetes ) that live in their mouths and guts, but not just from the higher dietary fat intake. Moreover, the scientists suggested that these findings further confirm the prevalence of gum disease in patients with atherosclerosis. Will this finding change your perspective regarding treatment of clogged arteries?
