Male patient, age 70yrs, obese complains of skin thickening posterior aspect of scalp. Diagnosed by dermatologists as scalp psoriasis. On treatment with medicated shampoo, scalp softeners, steroid and light treatments but it does not seem to remove the patch completely. Further noticed small patches of the same beginning on elbow and ankle. Not diabetic, h/o gall stones and pancreatitis - episode 2 years ago. Hypertensive on treatment since 2003.
All blood tests have come back normal. Otherwise in good health What can I further do for treatment? Anyone has a cure? It seems to be mild psoriasis. How to arrest it?
