A male patient 32 years old was referred from a neurosurgeon for otological evaluation. The patient had a motor car accident 2 days before. He gave a history of loss of consciousness for a few minutes together with bleeding from the right ear. The patient stated that he could not move the right side of his face since the recovery of consciousness. Examination On examination, blood clots were found in the right external auditory meatus, ecchymosis of the right tympanic membrane and a central posterior perforation with irregular edges could be seen.

Tuning fork examination revealed Rinne test was negative in the right ear and positive in the left ear. Weber test was lateralized to the right ear.
