During a NFB session the client simply sits back comfortably in a chair, the brain computer interface headset is placed on the head. Adjustments are made so that the sensors are touching the scalp properly and a clean reading of the brainwaves is available. The client has to look at a tv screen which provides audio and visual feedback on the basis of the brainwave activity at microsecond intervals and the protocol made for the client.
The brainwaves are constantly monitored on another screen and changes to the session made as required in real time. Individuals usually require around 30 sessions (number of sessions varies depending upon several factors like age, severity of symptoms, the type of dysregulation etc).
