Choroidal melanomas are one of the commonest intraocular tumours which are either being malignant pigmented or nonpigmented. It is more common in whites than blacks 6 per million in USA 7.5 per million in Denmark and Scandinavian countries. They are 80 percent in choroidal, 12 percent in body and 8 percent in Iris.
They have an early tendency to liver metastasis however if diagnosed and treated early one can prevent liver metastasis. They are difficult to diagnose due to their typical manifestations but in most of the cases they are solid or exudative retinal detachment of fundoscopy and scan ultrasound.
