Case presentation A 63-year-old man presented to the gastroenterology clinic with complaints of non-bloody, non-mucoid, watery diarrhea occurring over 20 times a day, along with nausea, intermittent abdominal pain, and an eight kg weight loss over two weeks. He had previously been treated with nitazoxanide and ciprofloxacin without any improvement in his condition.
Additionally, prior laboratory tests showed negative fecal occult blood and a negative stool culture.
