This article provides the highlights of this clinical trial conducted on 24000+ arthritic patients to assess the cardiovascular, gastrointenstinal, renal, and other outcomes with celecoxib, as compared to ibuprofen or naproxen. The trial included patients who required non-steroidal antiinfammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis, who were at increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
