Current oncological medications have been associated with a number of serious cardiac complications. Despite a number of guidelines being available for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiological complications among adult cancer patients, there is still a lack of comprehensive guidelines for managing cardiovascular complications in pediatric patients. To address this gap, a multidisciplinary panel of specialists from Australia and New Zealand has published a set of recommendations for the care of cardiac health in children with cancer.
