Aged 66 years male underwent a routine check-up at Thyrocare lab and his report is as follows : Serum Testosterone (Early morning) : 56.4 ng/ml HbA1c: 6.4 Average blood glucose: 137 Total Vitamin D3: 38.94 Vitamin B12: 854 Total Cholesterol: 154 HDL: 33 LDL: 95 VLDL: 55.56 Triglycerides: 278 Thyroid Profile: Total T3: 116ng Total T4: 9.5ug TSH: 2.32 Liver Profile: SGOT: 14.9 SGPT: 9.3 GGT: 35.2 ALP: 101.2 Renal Profile: BUN: 14.34 Serum Creatinine: 0.93 Uric Acid: 7.5 Calcium: 8.63 eGFR: 85 Patient is: He is diabetic having good control with ADD He is obese having 96 kg weight He feels weak and having low stamina with a decline in sexual activity There no history of BPH. Does he need treatment (TRT) for low testosterone levels (56.4 ng/ml) for his present age or further investigation i.e.: FSH & LH to rule out the pituitary cause of senile hypogonadism.
