Center has declared to give ₹ 500 to TB patients in India every month. This decision was based on a guidance document which was prepared by a panel of experts. The experts also recommended that the State Government should provide additional nutritional support as nutrition is the primary concern in these patients. Earlier it was decided to give this benefit to the tribal and BPL patients only. But now all the patients are to be covered under this scheme.
