The number of studies attempting to bridge the gap from outcomes to values is increasing; however, to date, there is limited guidance to effectively carry out such studies. The checklist developed by a Canadian clinician and presented here is timely and tackles an important issue: how we move from outcomes to values in health care to ensure that care truly reflects what patients and providers want.
