In recent times, in the lay press and in social media, there have been several controversies which seek to question the cholesterol hypotheses. Often, as doctors, we are asked to comment or discuss these topics. Traditionally, as doctors, we have sought to believe, that LDL cholesterol or the “bad” cholesterol is an important risk factor for coronary artery disease.
