World Polio Day is observed on 24 th October every year to commemorate and acknowledge global efforts toward a polio-free future and the selfless sacrifices of people working on the frontline to help eradicate polio from every corner of the world. This year, the aim is to ensure that the children saved from polio can reach their full developmental potential by presenting them with many opportunities and that mothers can have positive pregnancy experiences.
