The first probable case of Cotard’s Syndrome date back to 1788 but a French neurologist Jules Cotard in 1880 described several patients who suffered from a syndrome referred to as “délire de negation”.This article briefly describes few case studies of an interesting mental disorder, so-called “THE LIVING DEAD”. Cotard's syndrome is a rare syndrome, characterized by the presence of Nihilistic delusions or others that range from a belief that one has lost organs, blood, or body parts to insisting that one has lost one’s soul or is dead.
