Melanoma is the most lethal of all the skin cancers. Incidence and the mortality rates are decreasing in younger population whereas the rate is still increasing in the older population. Geographically, Australia, USA, and Canada are considered as "high prevalence regions", and Scotland and India fall in the "low incidence regions".
