Following the recent directive from the Union Health Ministry to safeguard doctors, the Delhi Government has also issued an advisory to Medical Directors and Medical Superintendents. The Director General of Health Services, Government of NCT of Delhi, has taken suo-motu cognizance of the dire situation faced by doctors due to recent tragic events and has called for the establishment of a committee to develop a security plan, including the implementation of "Code Violet" to respond to threats or violence within healthcare facilities. This committee will be chaired by the Medical Directors or Superintendents and will include senior doctors, representatives of resident doctors, and nurses.
