Pediatric facial fractures are relatively rare. The inherent elasticity of the bones and more of cartilage than mineralized bone counts for this. The principals involved in the management of facial fractures are the same irrespective of the age of patient.

But, however in children the technique used are necessarily modified by certain anatomical, physiological, psychological and feeding factors related to the childhood and the parents.
