In Dentistry Dental Equipment, Dental Drugs, Dental Implants, Dental Resins like composite etc All dental materials--- are imported from Switzerland, Germany. No company in India has the technology to produce them. Poor people, Middle-class people can not afford the High costs due to Imported Technologies and Patents. Instead of increasing Satellite technology to International levels, Government should first increase our Dental and Other Essential Technology to International levels.
The government is spending thousands of crores on Defence, satellites, etc. But to develop these essential technologies there is no research , no fundings , no money , no interest. IIT and other Engineering students, along with leading Dentists, should be given projects to make all these essential products Indigenously.
