The COVID-19 lockdown has brought uncertainties in the professional lives of all physicians. Elective surgeries and other non-essential services have either been suspended or cancelled since March this year due to the alarming rise of COVID-19 cases. Currently, most of the surgeons are still unclear when elective surgeries and procedures will be resumed.
Several elective surgeries including kidney stone removal surgeries, gall bladder surgeries, joint replacements, plastic surgeries, and ophthalmic surgeries that were scheduled for April and May have been canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
