Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) affects a substantial proportion of populace from all age groups across the world with a considerable morbidity and mortality rate. In India, the incidence of CAP is 4 million cases/year with 20% requiring hospitalization. The mortality rate of CAP patients is 1%–5% in outpatient settings and 25% in the intensive care unit. 1 Thus, CAP presents a serious burden, especially in hospital and critical care settings. Through this survey, we intend to get your insights on moderate to severe CAP requiring hospitalization which would help in the accurate diagnosis and management of this disease. Reference: 1.
