Delamanid is a novel armor recently launched to treat Multidrug Resistance Tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Not much is known about its therapeutic significance. Two powerful anti-TB drugs, isoniazid and rifampicin are ineffective against MDR-TB. Although there are 8 to 9 million new cases of TB annually, TB skin test (TST) data suggest that one-third of the global population are infected. Thus, this article enlightens about delamanid for the management of MDR-TB.
