The Delhi Consumer Court recently exonerated one of the hospitals and its doctors from charges of medical negligence in treating a patient with repeated palpitations. The patient had accused the hospital of failing to diagnose the cause of his palpitations or suggest the implantation of an AICD machine. The court, however, concluded that the hospital and its doctors provided a standard level of medical care, noting that the patient was put under constant cardiac monitoring and medical care, including necessary tests and follow-ups.

Despite the patient’s claims, the court found no concrete evidence of deficiency or negligence in the treatment provided.
