The Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) recently distributed the coveted 2019 excellence awards to the UAE healthcare professionals and research scientists. A UAE indigenous project led by the researchers at the Sharjah Institute of Medical Research was awarded for the discovery of a novel 3D molecule , that can be developed into a novel therapeutic intervention against infectious diseases , hyperlipidemia , multiple types of cancer , and multi-drug resistant pathogens .
