A 42-year-old pregnant woman, at 15 weeks of gestation, visited the clinic with pruritis, jaundice, and severe vomiting. Physical examination revealed WHO class III obesity with a BMI of 45.1 kg/m 2 . Laboratory investigations Serology Anti-nuclear antibody (ANA) was positive with 1: 1280 titer but was otherwise negative for infectious, metabolic, or serologic etiologies. Liver biopsy was performed and high power hematoxylin and eosin-stained section showed cytoplasmic ballooning of hepatocytes with the presence of Mallory's hyaline.
