A first-year DNB General Surgery trainee in Mumbai reportedly made a second suicide attempt following her suspension from a hospital, after previously approaching the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) with allegations of ragging, workplace harassment, prolonged duty hours and deficiencies in surgical training. The trainee, who began her residency earlier this year, was suspended by the hospital after being issued a show-cause notice. The suspension barred her from entering the hospital premises without prior written permission and directed her not to contact or influence individuals involved in the matter.
