A 73-year-old male patient presented with complaints of right hip pain for the last eight months. The patient described the pain as insidious, which progressed gradually over the last eight months resulting in an inability to walk and sleep disturbances. The patient reported that 33 years ago, he had sustained a hip fracture due to a road accident. For hip fracture, the patient had undergone a fracture fixation.

One year later, the patient had undergone another surgical procedure, possibly for implant removal. The X-ray scan revealed a reduction in the joint space, articular sclerosis, central osteophyte, and implant in the neck and trochanteric region, indicating secondary osteoarthritis with Smith Peterson nail.
